Aaron Hernandez missed another practice this week, but this one may have had nothing to do with the balky ankle that’s been causing him trouble for most of the season.
Hernandez was out Tuesday because his first child was being born, according to multiple reports. A tweet from Hernandez’s brother, D.J. Hernandez, who works as a graduate assistant coach at the University of Miami, more than confirmed the news Tuesday.

Hernandez is now the proud father of a daughter, according to reports.
Hernandez was reportedly back at the Patriots’ practice facility at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday, although it’s still unknown whether he will play this week. Hernandez missed the Patriots’ last game, two weeks ago in London against the Rams.
