Big men have always had trouble with free throws, and Golden State Warriors center Andris Biedrins is no exception.

Suffice to say it was an interesting weekend for the 7-foot, Latvian-born 26-year-old. On Friday night against the Lakers, Biedrins somehow managed to not only miss a free throw, but miss the basket entirely, airballing the attempt by a good foot.

The next night the Warriors took on the Denver Nuggets, but the Oakland crowd had their center’s back. Before attempting two free throws in the second quarter, the fans began cheering on Biedrins, willing him to make his shots. Apparently that strategy worked, as Biedrins made both of his attempts, and received a raucous ovation.
