Dirk Nowitzki Impersonates Bruce Springsteen, Singing Awful ‘Born in the USA’ Rendition (Video)

Dirk Nowitzki may not have a singing career once his NBA days are over, but perhaps he could pursue a trade in unintentional comedy.

The Dallas Mavericks posted a video of their star power forward singing Bruce Springsteen‘s “Born in the USA” on their Youtube channel. Which is funny because, you know, he wasn’t born in the USA.

The American-born David Hasselhoff had a major singing career in Germany, but we don’t see the reverse happening with Nowitzki in the United States after watching this video. It’s unclear whether Nowitzki’s singing skills trump his dancing skills, or vice versa, but neither are very impressive — though they are funny. Thankfully, Nowitzki should be back on the court soon after having knee surgery in October.
