Patriots Must Beat Texans Before They Can Claim to Be Best Team in AFC (Video)

After a convincing win against the Jets on Thanksgiving night, the Patriots now lead the AFC East by three games over the Miami Dolphins, their opponents next Sunday.

The Patriots only have five more games left on their schedule, and will wrap up their season with games against the Dolphins (twice), 49ers, Jaguars and AFC-leading Houston Texans. With the division all but wrapped up, the Pats are playing for seeding in the playoffs, and will need to go through the Texans to vault into the top two to acquire a first-round bye.

As the season winds down, Patriots insider and former New England running back Kevin Faulk released his AFC power rankings Sunday night on NESN Daily alongside host Dale Arnold. Check out the video above for Faulk’s top five, and why the Patriots sit behind Houston on his list.
