So it looks like it is OK to like LeBron James again.

After spending the better part of two years in just about everybody’s doghouse, the reigning NBA Most Valuable Player and now-defending NBA champion was back at the top of the list of top-selling jerseys, signaling that the league’s best player apparently is popular again.

James replaced Bulls point guard Derrick Rose, who dropped to fifth from the No. 1 spot he held in April. Rose’s fall is to be expected, since he has not played in a game since April 28 due to a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee. Some other movement on the list was surprising, however.

Dwight Howard came out of his debacle in Orlando unscathed and even a little more popular, if jersey sales are any indication. Howard jumped from 14th on April’s list to ninth in the current list. Paul Pierce held about steady, falling one spot to No. 14, while Ray Allen dropped out of the top 15 all together. That should make Celtics fans happy.

Rajon Rondo made a sizable leap from No. 10 last spring, but to find out where he landed, feel free to click below.
