Mike Aviles should take all this attention as a compliment.
Just weeks after being sent to Toronto as compensation for the Red Sox hiring away former Blue Jays manager John Farrell, Aviles has been dealt to another team.
Aviles, who came to the Red Sox partway through 2011 and was the team’s starting shortstop last year, is headed to Cleveland with infielder Yan Gomes in exchange for right-hander Esmil Rogers, according to Major League Baseball.

The deal means Aviles will be playing under new Indians manager Terry Francona, who worked with Aviles for a few months before Francona left the Red Sox at the end of the 2011 season.
