U.S. skier and Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn continues to be hospitalized in Colorado with what her spokesman, Lewis Kay, called “severe intestinal pain.”

Vonn last competed on Oct. 27 in Soelden, Austria and has not trained since leaving the competition after her second run.

Heinz Haemmerle, Vonn’s ski technician, spoke to The Associated Press about the concern he and the rest of his team have for Vonn, saying, “She told me she feels bad and has pain all over her body and that her bones are hurting. … She’s been [to the hospital] two or three times. This is the first time she’s stayed overnight.

“The coaches also don’t know. First they told me we would train again Monday, then Wednesday, now the end of the week.”

The timetable for Vonn’s return is unknown, but the Olympian is scheduled to compete in the giant slalom and slalom races in Aspen over Thanksgiving weekend.
