Pay attention, Donovan McNabb.

The 49ers and Rams battled to a 24-24 tie on Sunday afternoon, marking the NFL’s first tie since 2008 when McNabb’s Eagles couldn’t beat the Cincinnati Bengals. McNabb famously did not know that games could end in ties back then, and judging from Danny Amendola‘s comments after this game, it appears that many players still aren’t studying up on the rule book.

Still, sports fans have been no strangers to ties as long as games have been played, with many memorable games throughout the years finishing with both teams deadlocked.

From the “Game of the Century” between Army and Notre Dame in 1946 to the infamous “Harvard Beats Yale” contest in 1968, college football has seen its share of sister-kissing drama. However, many other sports have been fit to be tied in quite memorable fashion as well.
