After beating the Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers and Tampa Bay Lightning, the Bruins finally reached the 2011 Stanley Cup Final.

Their final adversary would be the Vancouver Canucks, owners of the Presidents’ Trophy and the No. 1 overall seed in the NHL playoffs.

With the likes of Roberto Luongo and Henrik and Daniel Sedin leading the way, the Canucks had breezed through the Western Conference after narrowly escaping the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round. Coming off a 4-1 series win over the San Jose Sharks, the Canucks were well-rested and rarin’ to go when the Bruins came to town.

Tune in at 8 p.m. on Wednesday as Andy Brickley joins Dale Arnold in the NESN studio to analyze the first game of that Stanley Cup Final. Also, be sure to join the conversation on social media by using the #Bruins2011 hashtag during the broadcast, and keep an eye out for more upcoming NESN broadcasts of games from the Bruins’ historic Stanley Cup run.
