The Bruins and Lightning were scratching and clawing for every inch in their 2011 Eastern Conference final matchup. With Tampa Bay forced into a win-or-go-home situation after five games, things would only get more intense.

Entering a bit of desperation mode, the Lightning turned to goalie Dwayne Roloson, who to that point had never lost an elimination game. The Bruins countered by trusting Tim Thomas in net, hoping that he would continue his Vezina form and prevent the Bolts from forcing a Game 7 in Boston.

Tune in to NESN at 8 p.m. on Thursday to relive all the action from Thomas’ dominant night, and join the conversation on social media by using the #Bruins2011 hashtag during the broadcast. Also, keep an eye out for more upcoming NESN broadcasts of games from the Bruins’ historic Stanley Cup run.
