Report: Ben Roethlisberger’s Injury Could Be Separated Shoulder, Quarterback Suffered at Least Sprain

Ben Roethlisberger is once again hurt, joining a fairly lengthy list of NFL quarterbacks who were hurt in Week 10.

The Steelers quarterback went down on Monday night in the Steelers’ overtime win over the hapless Chiefs, suffering an apparent shoulder injury. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the exact extent of Roethlisberger’s injury is unknown at this point.

Roethlisberger went down in the third quarter with the injury after being sacked by Kansas City’s Tamba Hali and Justin Houston. He was replaced by Byron Leftwich, who completed seven of 14 passes for 73 yards.

“It didn’t seem like a tough hit … but he came to the sideline and next thing you know he was gone,” Pittsburgh left tackle Max Starks said, according to The Associated Press. “I’m hoping it was nothing serious. Honestly it didn’t seem like it.”

Roethlisberger hasn’t played in all 16 games since the 2008 season.
