Watch Game 4 of the Bruins’ 2011 Eastern Conference Finals Against the Lightning Wednesday on NESN

Boston had exorcised some demons after beating the Flyers in the run-up to their 2011 Stanley Cup championship. Against the Tampa Bay Lightning, however, the B’s still had some trouble protecting a 3-0 lead.

With the series in their favor 2-1, the Bruins jumped out to a 3-0 lead in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals. Patrice Bergeron scored twice and Michael Ryder added another goal to put the B’s on their way to another likely victory and the inside track to the Stanley Cup Final. If only it was that easy.

The Lightning battled back to tie things up in the second period, setting up a frantic third where both teams frantically searched for the deciding goal.
