DeShawn Stevenson is an interesting cat. His body is covered in tattoos, he is one of the originators of the fro-hawk craze, and he has a diamond-and-gold pendant of Abraham Lincoln, his “favorite” president. “Understated” is the last word anyone would use to describe him.
When Stevenson takes the court with the Atlanta Hawks in Miami on Monday, he plans to make himself seen. The veteran guard will rock a pair of teal-and-pink Adidas when he suits up against LeBron James and the Heat, even though teal and pink are obviously not at all part of the Hawks’ color palette.
