Things like this happen in the winter months. One loses his or her footing, slips and falls — usually in front of people.
Such a fate struck one Dutch soccer fan on Sunday. His moment of misfortune came during an Eredivisie (Netherlands first division) game between Vitesse Arnhem and Roda JC.
A Roda player took a shot from distance, but blasted it well into the stands.
The Dutch fan retrieved the ball, tried to drop-kick it with enough force to return it to the field, and failed miserably. He missed the ball completely and went airborne, spilling his beer in the process.
More than 16,000 fans were in attendance, and many of them had a good laugh at the fan’s expense. Cameras caught the incident, giving people around the world a reason to chuckle.
