Mike D'AntoniMike D’Antoni may have been thrilled when he was named the new head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers a few weeks back, but the transition hasn’t been necessarily easy. In fact, there’s probably a chance he’s missing his pre-Lakers life a little bit right now.

The Lakers are just 4-8, and they suffered another disappointing loss on Tuesday night at Cleveland. The losing is bad enough, but D’Antoni’s return to the NBA coaching ranks is even more difficult given the lofty expectations that come with coaching the Lakers. Another occupational hazard that comes with coaching the Lakers — or any team in L.A. for that matter — is dealing with Los Angeles Times columnist T.J. Simers.

Simers asked D’Antoni about defense and his pregame preparation, and the head coach did not take too kindly to that line of questioning.
