Red Sox Spring Training Tickets Go on Sale Saturday Starting at Just $5

Red Sox Spring BaseballThe Red Sox offseason hot stove is heating up, and that means spring training is getting closer.

Tickets for 2013 Red Sox spring training games go on sale this Saturday, Dec. 8 with 20 games at JetBlue Park at Fenway South available for purchase. Ticket prices are remaining at their 2012 levels and start at just $5.

The Sox kick off their schedule on Thursday, February 21 with a single-admission doubleheader against Northeastern and Boston College, while the major league slate begins on Feb. 28 against the Tampa Bay Rays. Other highlights include the yearly St. Patrick’s Day game (this year against the Rays), four Mayors’ Cup meetings against the Minnesota Twins and even a showdown with Team Puerto Rico, who will be practicing in advance of the World Baseball Classic.

As part of Saturday’s sale festivities, the team is also offering hourly giveaways, raffles and discounts for those who head to JetBlue Park. Fans there can also take their holiday photos in front of the Green Monster and meet new manager John Farrell.

The first workout for pitchers and catchers is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 12.
