Boston College Hires Steve Addazio As Next Head Football Coach

Steve AddazioThe Boston College Eagles have found their next head coach.

Boston College athletic director, Brad Bates, tweeted the school has hired Steve Addazio to replace Frank Spaziani to lead Boston College.  Addazio has spent the last two seasons with Temple, where he went 13-11. The 53-year-old Farmington, Conn. native was the University of Florida’s offensive coordinator for two years before getting hired by Temple in 2011. Prior to serving as offensive coordinator, he was the Gators’ offensive line coach.

Temple went 9-4 in Addazio’s first season and 4-7 this year. The Eagles are coming off a 2-10 2012 record. They went 21-29 with Spaziani at the helm. The University of Florida won two national titles with Addazio manning the offensive line. According to Thamel, Addazio is known as premier recruiter at the college level.
