Rob GronkowskiSave your spikes for at least one more week, Patriots fans.

Rob Gronkowski will not play on Sunday, according to The Boston Globe’s Shalise Manza Young, citing a league source.

It will mark the fifth straight week that Gronk will be out recovering from a broken forearm he suffered at the end of the Patriots’ 59-24 win over Indianapolis. The injury was originally expected to keep the tight end out anywhere from four to six weeks.

Gronkowski did practice with the team this week, and was listed as a “limited participant,” but it appears that Bill Belichick and Co. are playing it safe. The Patriots are just about locked into the No. 3 seed in the AFC East and will face lowly Jacksonville in Week 16.
