Vote: Which Player Would Look the Strangest in His Rival’s Uniform?

Tom BradyIt’s always strange to see veteran players change teams late in their careers. It’s especially strange when those players have to change into their chief rival’s colors.

After seeing Mike Vrabel‘s tweet this week that showed Tom Brady wearing the crimson and grey of Ohio State, it got us thinking how bizarre it would be to see Brady in a Jets uniform. The Jets have been one of the Patriots’ biggest rivals since Brady joined the team, and especially since Rex Ryan came to the Meadowlands. Hopefully we’ll never have to see Brady in the Jets’ green and white, but if we did it would be a shock to our systems.

Zdeno Chara has worn a few different uniforms during his 14-year NHL career, but it would be strangest to see him wearing a Canadiens uniform, especially after Montreal tried to bring up criminal charges over Chara’s 2011 hit on Max Pacioretty.

David Ortiz wore pinstripes in the past with the Minnesota Twins, but what if we had to see him wear a New York Yankees uniform? Thankfully, the Red Sox signed Ortiz up to a two-year contract extension that should carry him through the rest of his career, so hopefully we’ll never actually have to see Ortiz in Yankees navy blue and white.

Surely no one would approve of seeing Paul Pierce in the Lakers’ purple and gold, despite the Celtics’ forward’s Inglewood, Calif. roots. Pierce may be a SoCal kid at heart, but Lakers fans have forgotten all about his high school glory days after being a Celtics star for the past 15 years.

So, which scenario would be the strangest to see?
