The Mavericks’ NBA Developmental League team, the Texas Legends, offered Allen Iverson a chance to revive his playing career. Though former All-Stars like Antoine Walker have spent time in the D-League, Iverson declined the Legends’ offer on Tuesday.

Texas made another strong push to lure Iverson back into basketball on Monday, attempting to add yet another NBA vet to the roster. Recently, the Legends acquired Delonte West.

Iverson, 37, has not suited up for an  NBA team since 2010 when he played 28 games for the Grizzlies and Sixers.

In a string of tweets, the former NBA MVP thanked Donnie Walsh for the chance to return to pro basketball, while also acknowledging reasons for why his career ended earlier than he thought.
