A very small animal caused a very big commotion at Milwaukee’s Bradley Center on Saturday.
Midway through the second half of an eight-point game between Marquette and Providence, a bat swooped down from the building’s rafters and began flying around the court. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel chronicled the scene as players and coaches from both teams attempted to corral the flying mammal by tossing towels at it.
When that strategy proved ineffective, stadium officials delayed the game for several minutes and shut off the lights in the arena. This one seemed to do the trick, as the bat was not spotted for the rest of the game, which the Golden Eagles won, 81-71.
