The Celtics have struggled for much of the 2012 season, but the caveat has always been: wait until Avery Bradley returns.

Well, that time has come. As NESN.com’s Ben Watanabe reports, the Celtics guard confirmed on Tuesday that he will play in the team’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Bradley has been out of action all season long after he underwent double-shoulder surgery last spring.

In 64 games last season, including 28 starts, Bradley, averaged 7.6 points for the Celtics and quickly earned himself a reputation as one of the league’s best perimeter defenders. With the Celtics’ defense struggling at times this season, he will certainly be a welcomed addition to the team.
