Bruins-CanucksHockey is finally back and as the initial exultation begins to subside, NHL fans are looking forward to the new season.

Of course, the lockout ends with a fair share of casualties, which will likely lead to either a 48- or 50-game schedule. That will undoubtedly change the way teams look at the season, and it will put a different emphasis and importance on each game.

However, the best teams are still the best teams, and while each game will mean more, it’s still likely that the cream will rise to the top. Now that we known there will be a season, we might as well start looking ahead and forecasting which teams have the best chance to hoist the Stanley Cup this spring.
