Darrelle RevisNot often does one of the best players in football become available, but that’s exactly what appears to be happening in New York.

Darrelle Revis is rumored to be on the move, or at least on the trade block, and there will be plenty of teams lining up at the Jets’ door for a crack at the best cornerback in football.

Revis played just two games in 2012, but the Jets still managed to make do without him. Antonio Cromartie, Kyle Wilson and LaRon Landry played well alongside a number of other role players, and the Jets’ secondary finished the season with the NFL’s second-best pass defense. So, with Cro and company under contract for the near future and the team on the fringe of the salary cap already, fielding offers for Revis seems like a wise decision.

The Jets should be able to dictate their price for their defensive superstar, likely getting a few high draft picks in return. They can use some cap relief — which abandoning Revis’ $9 million figure for next season would accomplish — and they still need to rebuild on offense, which a few high picks could help with.

There are plenty of teams on the market looking for a shutdown corner, and Revis is still the best in the business. So, expect plenty of suitors to at least take a gander at the delectable fruit hanging from the tree down in Florham Park, N.J.

Let’s take a look at which teams are in need of a corner and which would be the best trade fits for Revis.
