Fab MeloWith all the controversy surrounding helmet-to-helmet hits and concussions in the NFL, it’s about time we start talking about low hanging door hinges and 7-foot NBA players.

Celtics rookie center Fab Melo suffered a concussion walking into a door while in Sioux Falls, S.D., last week, head coach Doc Rivers told reporters Wednesday. Melo returned to Boston from the NBDL to treat the injury.

The Brazil native has played in eight games with the Celtics this season. He has two points, 10 rebounds, three assists and one block in 47 minutes on the court.

On Twitter, Melo said he expects to return to his NBDL squad, the Maine Red Claws, on Friday. He’ll surely be more cognizant of low-hanging objects.
