Hockey Goal Celebration Ends With One Player Slashing Another Player in Midsection (Video)

If you’re a fan of unsportsmanlike behavior, you’ll enjoy this video.

Things got a little out of hand during Thursday night’s Elite Ice Hockey League clash between the Sheffield Steelers and the Nottingham Panthers. The Steelers eventually blew the doors off the Panthers, but it was some first-period fireworks that stole the show.

Panthers forward Kelsey Wilson wasn’t a big fan of the Steelers putting a goal on the board, so he took his frustrations out on the Steelers’ Simon Ferguson. Wilson slashed Ferguson as the Steelers returned to their bench, which led to a lot of palms going skyward.

Amazingly, an all-out melee didn’t ensue, although one would think retribution might someday be in the cards. For now, though, Wilson got away with one, and Ferguson is left wondering what just happened. Wilson has since been suspended by the league for three games.

Have a look at the classless act in the video below.
