J.J. Watt Spat on Gillette Stadium Patriots Logo Before Playoff Game

J.J. WattJ.J. Watt seems like a good guy, but his antics before Sunday’s game aren’t going to sit well with many Patriots fans.

Watt spat on the Patriots’ midfield logo, according to The Boston Globe’s Zuri Berry. WEEI.com’s Mike Petraglia and Houston KHOU-TV reporter Matt Musil confirmed the news of Watt’s rather disrespectful move, with Musil even adding that the Texans defensive end wiped his feet on the logo as well.

The feet-wiping is rather ironic, in fact, because after Watt was done doing that, the Patriots promptly wiped their feet with the Texans. It wasn’t as one-sided as New England’s dominant win over Houston back in Week 15, but the Pats were still in complete control throughout.

Watt, whose underdog story is well-documented, has become one of the league’s more likable players, especially given the amazing season that he’s had. When you start hocking loogies everywhere, though, you can’t expect to be held in the same regard. And Watt admitted that he does it before every road game, although he means no disrespect by it.

Still, clean it up, J.J.
