Twenty goaltenders have won multiple Vezina Trophies, yet only one has captured seven.

Canadiens great Jacques Plante won six of his seven in Montreal, capturing his seventh in 1969 with the St. Louis Blues at the age of 40.

Dominik Hasek and Bill Durnan were each named the league’s top netminder six times, followed by Ken Dryden with five for Montreal in the 1970s. The Devils’ Martin Brodeur leads all active goalies with four.

Nine times Boston has had the game’s best goaltender. Tiny Thompson holds the franchise record with four Vezina Trophies, as Tim Thomas and Frank Brimsek each earned the honors twice.  Pete Peeters won his lone award for the 1982-1983 season.
