Lance ArmstrongIs this when Lance Armstrong finally comes clean?

We doubt it, but somehow we bet that this interview ends up with big ratings, anyway. But since Armstrong was officially banned from all Olympic sports, he’s been remarkably quiet. During this period he’s lost all his sponsors and had his name stripped from the cancer-fighting foundation that he founded, but all the while he’s remained silent to the media.

Well, Armstrong is headed for Oprah Winfrey and the OWN network, and we just can’t help but hope she gives him the James Frey treatment. According to a press release from the network, Armstrong will appear on Oprah’s Next Chapter‘s Jan. 17 episode at  9 p.m., and promises that the former seven-time Tour de France champion will address the since-upheld allegations against him.

Recently it was reported that Armstrong was considering finally coming clean and admitting to the use of various performance-enhancing drugs throughout his cycling career. However, the plan was to use this as a bargaining chip to get his competition eligibility back for all sports overseen by the United States Anti-Doping Agency.
