Nail Yakupov, Dougie HamiltonDougie Hamilton has turned himself into a fan favorite in Boston in just a few weeks, and in the process, he’s showing how effective NHL rookies can be without much experience in the league.

Hamilton isn’t alone in conquering the league at a young age, though. There is more more young talent in the NHL right now there has been in seemingly a long time, and Hamilton is just one of many. If you look across the NHL, whether it’s Justin Schultz and Nail Yakupov in Edmonton or Cory Canacher and Vladimir Tarasenko making waves in Tampa Bay and St. Louis, respectively, rookies are chipping in across the NHL map.

It’s a fan’s dream, of course, but it won’t make things easy for  those who have to vote on the Calder Trophy come season’s end.
