Get ready for hockey.

According to a source of The Boston Globe, the Bruins will open their abbreviated 48-game post-lockout season Jan. 19 against the New York Rangers at the TD Garden. The game is said to be a 7 p.m. start, although that had not been confirmed.

Since after that point the Celtics do not have another home game scheduled until Jan. 24, a Jan. 21 game against the Maple Leafs may stay the same as originally scheduled.
