DeMarcus CousinsThe flurry of so-called “news” surrounding a potential trade for DeMarcus Cousins, which went so far as the predict a deal could bring the Sacramento Kings center to Boston by the end of Sunday night, appears to be over. Cousins will not be coming to Boston, at least not before the Kings visit the TD Garden at the end of the month.

Sam Amick of USA Today completely shut the door on a potential deal when he tweeted that the Kings have told trade suitors that Cousins in not available. Amick is a former Kings beat writer for The Sacramento Bee, so he probably knows what he is talking about with that front office’s thinking.

Those few hours of excitement were fun while they lasted. Thanks a lot for killing our buzz, Sam.
