Report: Kevin Love Undergoes Successful Surgery on Broken Hand

Minnesota’s coveted power forward Kevin Love underwent successful surgery Tuesday morning to repair his broken right hand, according to CBSSports.com. He suffered the injury on Jan. 3 against the Denver Nuggets.

Currently, Love is averaging a staggering 18.3 points, 14.0 rebounds, and 0.5 blocks per game. Minnesota has a number of players that will be sidelined due to serious injuries including Brandon Roy (knee), Chase Budinger (knee) and Malcolm Lee (knee). Additionally, Ricky Rubio (back) and Lazar Hayward (illness) are day-to-day.

The two-time All-Star will miss 8-10 weeks with the hand injury, the second time Love has suffered a broken hand this year. He also missed the Timberwolves’ first nine games to start the season.
