Robert Griffin IIIRobert Griffin III appreciates the support he’s receiving in the wake of the Redskins’ playoff loss to the Seahawks. He also appreciates the criticism.

Griffin took to Twitter on Monday, a day after he exited Washington’s playoff loss early as a result of a knee injury. Some have criticized Griffin’s stubbornness in playing despite clearly being hobbled, while others consider RG3’s toughness to be admirable and place most of the blame on Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan. No matter where you stand, Griffin respects your opinion.

The rookie quarterback did want to make it perfectly clear, though, that while many may offer up criticism, there are few that have “been in the line of fire in battle.” Now, it isn’t like RG3 is going full-blown Kellen Winslow Jr. on us, declaring he’s a “solider” and what not, but any time an athlete starts dropping battle comparisons, it gets people talking.

Griffin’s overriding point, nevertheless, seems to be that everyone shouldn’t rush to pass judgment, regardless of what their opinion is.
