Super Bowl Multisport Prop Bets Feature Colin Kaepernick-Chris Paul, Ray Lewis-LeBron James

The Super Bowl brings out easily the most prop bets of any sporting event of the year. One such prop is the total points of Clippers guard Chris Paul on Sunday against Boston versus the total completions of 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, with the line set at a pick?em.

Obviously, Paul has to play in this game. He missed his fourth straight and seventh in the past nine Sunday due to a bruised kneecap. He?s officially day-to-day, so there?s a good chance he could play in L.A.?s only trip to Boston. The Clippers also have games Wednesday in Minnesota and Friday in Toronto. Paul is averaging 16.6 points per game this year, but was held to eight in a Dec. 27 blowout win over the C’s. Of course, back then, Paul had to worry about dealing with Rajon Rondo, who is now out for the season. Kaepernick?s season-high in completions is 21 and his average is 17.

The total receiving yards for Ravens running back Ray Rice against total points and rebounds of the Clippers? Blake Griffin is another pick?em. Rice is one of the best receiving backs in the NFL. He caught 61 balls for 478 yards during the regular season (29.9 yards per game) but has only four catches for 69 yards (23 YPG) in three playoff games. Griffin averages 18.4 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. In the first game with Boston, Griffin had 15 points and eight rebounds.

Another intriguing prop featuring two high-profile names involves the total rebounds and assists for Heat star LeBron James in Sunday?s game at Toronto against the total tackles and assists of Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis in the final game of his career. LeBron?s at minus-3.5 on his total. James averages 8.3 rebounds and 7.1 assists in another MVP-caliber season. He has faced the Raptors once this year and had 11 assists (one of his highest totals of the season) and 10 rebounds. Lewis, who will retire after the Super Bowl, is averaging an incredible 14.7 tackles in three playoff games after returning from injury. In the regular season, Lewis averaged 9.5 tackles in the six games he played.

If you’re looking to bet on LeBron’s total points, that number is matched against the total points scored by the 49ers, with the line again at a pick?em. James is fourth in the NBA in scoring at 26.6 points per game and had 31 as part of a triple-double in that first meeting with Toronto. Since Kaepernick took over as the 49ers? starter, San Francisco is averaging 28.6 points a game. They finished with fewer than 27 points in just two games, the team?s only two losses in that stretch.

On a more offbeat note, the total TD passes for Ravens QB Joe Flacco is up against total blocks for Lakers center Dwight Howard on Sunday at Detroit. Flacco is at +1 TD passes. He has been tremendous in these playoffs with eight TD passes and no interceptions. In the regular season he finished with 22 TDs (about 1.4 per game). Flacco has had at least two touchdown passes in the past six games he played the full way; he didn?t in a meaningless Week 17 game against Cincinnati. Howard is fifth in the NBA in blocks at 2.4 per game. His season high is five but Howard hasn?t had more than two in the past six games.
