Zlatan IbrahimovicYou’re a big deal when someone buys your potential Internet home and offers to sell it to you. You’re an even bigger deal when that person won’t accept money in exchange for a web presence that is rightfully yours. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is learning this valuable life lesson in France.

When the incomparable soccer star joined Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) last summer, an enterprising cybersquatter bought the “Zlatan.fr” domain name.

On New Year’s Day, the squatter penned an open letter to Ibrahimovic offering to relinquish the domain name if he meets one of 12 “challenges.”

The anonymous squatter opens the hilarious note by reminding Ibrahimovic that he’s a big PSG fan and that what follows is a gesture of goodwill.

“By the way, as you can see, I didn’t put any commercial link on that website … you can admit that I am a nice buddy. I could have made a fortune with such a domain name!” the English-language translation of the Zlatan.fr letter reads.

“So now, I give you the opportunity to have it back. And for that, as you can imagine, we won’t bother with lawyers and endless procedures. Obviously it would be a waste of time and money for both of us. Instead, I got a much funnier idea. And as I am a very good guy, I let you have the choice of weapons.

“Are you ready? So here it is … if you manage to succeed in one of those challenges, the domain name ‘Zlatan.fr’ will be yours.”

The cybersquatter then issues twelve of the most amazingly outlandish challenges ever issued to a superstar. Some of them might even make Chuck Norris proud.

Ibrahimovic has not responded to the letter. Most people agree that he should, but the question of just how he should respond has divided opinion. We’ll only list the 12 challenges in order below. Help “Ibra” make a wise decision and vote now.
