Jacoby JonesJacoby Jones‘ 108-yard kickoff return for the Ravens right after halftime Sunday night was costly for the 49ers’ chances at coming back and winning the Super Bowl. But it turned out just fine for Ravens fans, and especially for a bunch of Baltimore-area furniture customers.

Gardiners Furniture in Baltimore had a special, Super Bowl-themed sale over the last few days, with the promise that any money spent on furniture between Jan. 31 and 3 p.m. on Sunday would be refunded if the Ravens were to return a kick at the start of the game or right after halftime, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Jones’ kick, on the first play after halftime, did exactly that.

The furniture store owners said they were “thrilled” by the play and happy to refund the money — but that’s probably because they also got an insurance policy for the ploy, just in case. They now need to cash it in for $600,000 worth of furniture.
