Claude Julien Admits Bruins Were ‘Caught Off-Guard’ by Desperate Sabres After Failing to Put Game Away (Video)

The Bruins looked like the better team for 40 minutes on Friday night, but unfortunately for them, a hockey game takes 60 minutes to finish.

The Sabres stormed back against the B’s in the third period, taking advantage of the fact that Boston hadn’t put the game away earlier despite countless chances to do just that.

Afterward, coach Claude Julien admitted to NESN’s Naoko Funayama that his team was caught off-guard by the desperate play of Buffalo, and he lamented the fact that the Bruins hadn’t capitalized when they had the opportunities.
