Colin Kaepernick podcastIn just three days, the 49ers and Ravens will face off in the Super Bowl, so what are the key matchups in the game?

The outcome may come down to the performances of both teams’ quarterbacks, Colin Kaepernick and Joe Flacco. It will be tough for the Ravens’ aging defense to keep up with the speedy Kaepernick, and Flacco’s deep ball has been so good this year that he ‘s been the only regular starter in the league to not get picked off on a pass of over 20 yards.

Flacco will need time to get that deep pass off, and whether or not he has that luxury may come down to defensive end Justin Smith and outside linebacker Aldon Smith. Justin Smith has been hampered by a triceps injury, but he’s had two weeks to recover, and if he’s fully healthy, Aldon Smith could go back to being the pass rushing terror he was through the first 14 weeks of the season.

NESN.com NFL writer Luke Hughes stopped by the podcast to discuss the Super Bowl with NESN.com’s Doug Kyed. The two talked about all the latest headlines from Super Bowl week, including Ray Lewis‘ banned substance allegations, Randy Moss‘ claims of being the best wide receiver ever and Ed Reed and Bill Belichick‘s mutual admiration.
