ESPN Posts Poll Asking Whether or Not You Own a Dog for Some Reason (Photo)

As most people who regularly digest their sports news through the Internet know, ESPN.com often posts polls.

Most of the time, these polls give at least some interesting information in terms of gauging the general consensus of a large section of the sports-fan population. Even more interesting is that the results are broken down by state, often showing local bias, but sometimes indicating cultural predilections by geographical area, as well.

However, this time, it looks like ESPN is out of ideas. On Tuesday its website posted a poll asking respondents whether or not they own a dog. No explanation, no context, just a random question without apparent reasoning behind it.

As you can imagine, the comments section has bred many a Michael Vick joke. Check out a screenshot of the poll results from late this afternoon below. As you may notice, for whatever reason Massachusetts is one of only five states answering negatively overall.
