Just when you think the Red Sox can’t add any drama to the mix, Mother Nature intervenes.

Jacoby Ellsbury tweeted out on Sunday night some frightening news for Red Sox Nation to hear, but didn’t seem all that concerned about it himself.

Hopefully, the Red Sox outfielder is right about that luck. After an MVP-caliber season sandwiched between a couple of injury-plagued ones, he could certainly use some in 2013.

This marks the second strange incident to befall a Red Sox player this spring, with minor leaguer Bryce Brentz previously shooting himself in the leg by accident while cleaning his gun. The actual playing of baseball games can’t come soon enough.
