It’s already obvious that last season left a bad taste in the mouths of some Red Sox players.

A number of players were spotted at the team’s complex in Fort Myers on Monday, even though official team activities don’t begin until next week. Among those spotted were Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Daniel Nava, Daniel Bard, Jon Lester, Andrew Bailey, Andrew Miller, Clay Buchholz, John Lackey and manager John Farrell, according to The Boston Globe.

Sunday marks the date on which pitchers and catchers are supposed to report, with the first pitchers/catchers workout scheduled for Feb. 12.

Also reporting for duty early was Homer, the Red Sox’ new clubhouse dog.
