A meteor crashed into Russia on Friday, and it has made at least a small impact on the Russian sports world.

According to the Kontinental Hockey League, the meteor damaged one of the league’s arenas. The league announced Friday that Traktor Arena had been damaged in the incident.

“The emergency services have confirmed that the walls of the Arena Traktor were among those structures to suffer damage, and therefore large-scale events at the stadium have been postponed,” read an update on the league’s English Facebook page.

According to the league, the arena’s damage will be assessed further Monday.

At that point, the league will have to make a decision on what to do moving forward. The arena’s KHL team, Chelyabinsk, is set to open its playoff schedule on Feb. 21 or 22.
