If anyone doubted that Stephen Curry was one of the best shooters in the NBA, Wednesday night’s game was a testament that they should think again.

The Celtics get the next look at Curry and the Warriors, on Friday night, and there’s only one part of Wednesday night’s game that they’d like to see repeated on their floor — Golden State’s loss despite Curry’s heroics. Celtics coach Doc Rivers knows just how dangerous Curry can be, and he was lending his expert opinion to Curry’s status in the league as the matchup approached.

“The way he shot the ball and the shots he got, he’s just a great shooter,” Rivers said on WEEI, according to The Boston Globe. “He’s the best shooter in our league.”

Rivers already had a defensive plan in place.

“Well, you foul him,” he said when asked how to stop Curry. “When a guy gets in a zone like that, it’s just hard. It’s so easy to say deny him, but he’s the point guard. He always has the ball in his hands.”

The Celtics have held Curry to just 11 points and 38 percent shooting in his last two games against Boston, but Curry has been dealing with ankle problems throughout the last couple of years and hasn’t had many games at peak form this season. Wednesday night, though, was exactly that, and the C’s have some work to do if they don’t want to see an encore.
