Tiki BarberNFL players tickle each other, yes that’s correct.

Tiki Barber held an AMA (ask me anything) on Reddit on Monday afternoon. One fan asked the former Giants running back which defensive player he tried to actively avoid on the the field. While Barber’s answer may not be surprising, his reasoning was.

Jeremiah Trotter. We played each other so much and knew each other so well that when he hit me, he hit me hard,” Barber wrote. “But he’d also help me up and sometimes tickle me under the pile.”

With countless fumbles and loose ball exchanges, there are many pile ups throughout the course of an NFL season. Many of us will never know exactly what goes on in those scrums, but at least we have one answer, and it comes from a pretty good source.
