Titus Young Appears on Cover of Lions’ 2013 Team Calendar After Being Released (Photo)

Things are not going well for the Detroit Lions. Their promising 2012 season ended in a miserable 4-12 finish, and even in the offseason the team can’t seem to get anything right.

This is illustrated perfectly by the team’s 2013 calendar, which features wide receiver Titus Young on the cover. Not only was Young a troublemaker during his tenure in Detroit — highlighted by his claim that he’s a better player than Pro Bowl wideout Calvin Johnson — he’s not even on the team anymore.

The 23-year-old was cut by the Lions last week after being called a distraction by his teammates and coaches, and has since signed with the St. Louis Rams. This created quite the unfortunate situation for the makers of the team calendar — the ironically named Perfect Timing, Inc. — which is now selling for less that two dollars on Amazon.

To make matters worse, Fox Sports Detroit points out that seven of the 12 players featured in the calendar may not suit up for Detroit this season, including Young, cornerback Aaron Berry and defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch, all of whom have been released.

Check out Perfect Timing’s use of imperfect judgement in the photo below (via NFLshop.com).
