The Vancouver-area peewee hockey coach who thought it was a good idea to trip an opposing player in the postgame handshake line is going to spend some time in the penalty box as punishment for his crime.

Unfortunately for Martin Tremblay, the penalty box in the real world is a prison cell.

According to ESPN.com, the British Columbia native has been sentenced to 15 days in prison after he tripped a player in the handshake line following a peewee game in November.

“”The tripping of the boys was akin to a cowardly sucker punch on an unsuspecting victim,” a judge told Tremblay.
