Will Middlebrooks‘ promising rookie campaign ended all too early when he took a pitch off the wrist in Cleveland, prematurely ending his season. As he describes it, the experience was more frustrating that words can describe.

However, Boston’s third baseman is already past the early awkward stages that come from rehabbing a wrist injury. And, as Middlebrooks tells Peter Gammons and Tom Caron in the video above, he took some advice late last season from his Tampa Bay hot-corner counterpart, Evan Longoria, who himself broke his wrist during his rookie season.
