Bruins Players Each Reveal a Favorite Current Song to Compile Ultimate Bruins Playlist (Music Videos)

TD GardenWhen you work in sports television, music is a huge part of your life. It is literally everywhere: in arenas, ballparks, locker rooms, during broadcasts and of course, in your iPod when travelling.

I recently did an interview for thenosebleeds.com about my own music background and was asked to create a small playlist. It got me thinking about what a Bruins playlist would look like, so I asked each player to pick one song. Of course, some players wanted to post multiple songs and others picked the same song which led to a rock-paper-scissors match to claim dibs.

The result is a pretty fun compilation with a good mix of hip hop, rock, country, pop and house.

David Krejci said “any Eminem song,” so I selected the most recognizable one off the Recovery album.

As for Chris Kelly‘s choice, it wasn’t really his. As a parent of young children, he says children’s music rules his car stereo. Since he didn’t know the names of any of the songs (“the one where you put your name in it and sings back to you…” didn’t quite come up in the iTunes search), I asked our Bruins producer’s young daughter Brooke to recommend one for Kelly instead — it’s a pretty good kids song, actually.
