College Student Sinks $50,000 Half-Court Shot, Doesn’t Win Prize Due to Rules Violation (Video)

Alex Permann is pretty good at hoops despite apparently not knowing where the 3-point line is.

The Missouri-St. Louis student sank what was supposed to be a $50,000 half-court shot during a contest before the Missouri Valley title game on Sunday afternoon. However, Permann didn’t receive the prize money because he didn’t follow the rules, according to USA Today.

Permann was supposed to make a layup, a free throw, a 3-pointer and a half-court shot, but he skipped over the 3-pointer for some reason and went straight from the free throw to the half-court shot, which can be seen in the video below.

He didn’t leave completely empty-handed, however, as he received four tickets to the conference tournament for life.
